When installing Virtual Link, it keeps prompting it requires Adobe AIR 2 to be installed on your computer even though you have followed the instruction to install the latest Adobe.

Workaround:

  • Editing the registry (run regedit) : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Adobe AIR\VersionMajor set it to 2 to 9

For Windows 7 64 bit please find the path below:

  Computer/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6423Mode\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Adobe AIR\VersionMajor set it from 2 to 9

  • Uninstall the latest Adobe Air in your computer and install older version "Adobe Air 4" prior to installing LifeSize Virtual Link. Later you can update to the latest Adobe Air.
