This is possible and partially supported using the “Export All to CSV” button on ClearSea Control Panel.
Customer needs to take some preparation steps and be notified of some limitation of the procedure.
- LIMITATIONS: Groups migration is not supported. Customer will have to manually replicate the existing Groups on the ClearSea server on the UVC ClearSea Server or the import procedure on the UVC ClearSea server will fail.
Password migration is not supported. The exported CSV file cannot decrypt passwords and will replace each password with the “* SECRET *” string. Customer will have to work on the CSV file in order to replace the string with real passwords.
- PREPARATORY STEPS: As mentioned above customer will have to manually replicate the existing Groups on the ClearSea server on the UVC ClearSea Server. They will then have to devise a way to retrieve/modify password for the existing accounts and input them in the Exported CSV file. The CSV file can be modified with a common text editor.
- EXPORT/IMPORT procedure:
From the “SERVICE > Accounts” customer can use the “Export All to CSV” button to export a full list of accounts. After having adjusted the password values in the CSV file. They can then import the CSV file from the “Manage > Users > Import” section of the UVC ClearSea Control Panel. Separator is “,”.
