Upgrading Your Firmware

Complete the following procedure to update your firmware:

  1. In your web browser, download the appropriate firmware. At this time:
    1. For an Icon, navigate to  http://cdn.lifesizecloud.com/LS_RM3_2.4.0.1428.img and download the latest firmware – 2.4.0.
      NOTE: This link is no longer valid. Icons connected to cloud are automatically updated.
    2. For a 220 series, navigate to  the URL provide to you and download the latest firmware.
  2. If you are updating an Icon, navigate to the IP address of icon and complete the following procedure:
    1. Sign in to the icon. By default the username and password are both admin.
    2. Click the Maintenance tab, and then expand System Upgrade.
    3. Click Select File, and navigate to where you saved the firmware image.
    4. Select the file, and then click Open.
    5. In the System Upgrade section, click Upload.
    6. Wait while the system updates.
    7. Expand System Reset, click System Reset.
  3. If you are updating a 220 series, navigate to the IP address of the 220 and complete the following procedure:
    1. If you have not allowed pop-ups, click the Click here hyperlink to launch the web interface.
    2. Enter your password and click Submit. By default the password is 1234.
    3. Select the Maintenance tab, and then click System Upgrade.
    4. Click Browse, and then navigate to where you saved the firmware image.
    5. Select the file, and then click Open.
    6. Click Upgrade on the Maintenance tab.
    7. Wait while the system updates and restarts.
