Lifesize Cloud Video Freeze from the Far-end

Issue: Far-end user Video freeze in less than 2~3 seconds, soon as the video starts.

 

Your edge network device (mostly firewall or a UTM (unified threat management) device) will be dropping the incoming media communication considering as UDP flood.

Disabling UDP flood on the edge device has resolved problems.

 

Some devices have this feature enabled by default. One of the commonly observed devices are CyberRoam, SOPHOS.

 

  • Login to Cyberoam Web Admin Console using profile having read-write administrative rights over relevant features.
  • Go to Firewall > DoS > Settings, and uncheck Apply Flag against the configured parameter to ignore scanning for the UDP media traffic.
