Icon 600 Power Issues / PSU mismatch (Rebooting, Loop Booting, Not Initializing)

You may experience power issues with your Icon if the power supply for the camera and the codec are swapped by mistake.

This can easily happen as the connectors are the same size.  The PSUs provide different wattages and this can cause problems if the codec is using the smaller PSU.

 

If you are experiencing power related issues such as the codec rebooting, loop booting or not initializing please make sure that the power supplies are correct.

 

Icon Power Supply

 

You can easily identify the codec (Icon) power supply in 3 ways.

  • The power "brick" is physically larger.
  • The DC Output will be labeled at "3,95A Max"
  • The end of the cable will have a white flag with the label "DC 19v"

Camera 10x Power Supply

 

You can easily identify the camera power supply in 3 ways.

  • The power "brick" is physically smaller.
  • The DC Output will be labeled at "1.57A"
  • The end of the cable will have no flag.
