What events are being monitored?

The following events will trigger an email alert:

This Lifesize Icon has been offline for longer than 5 minutes.

Offline

This Lifesize Icon has been offline for longer than 40 minutes after a software upgrade started.
Microphone DisconnectedThe microphone has been disconnected for longer than 5 minutes.
Display DisconnectedThe display has been disconnected for longer than 5 minutes.
Camera DisconnectedThe camera has been disconnected for longer than 5 minutes.
SIP2 Registration FailedThe SIP Registrar 2 has been disconnected for longer than 5 minutes.
SIP2 Registration FailedThe SIP Registrar 2 has been disconnected for longer than 40 minutes after a software upgrade started.
High Audio Packet LossNetwork traffic for a call's audio stream experienced 10 continuous seconds of 3% or higher loss.
Critical Audio Packet LossNetwork traffic for a call's audio stream experienced 10 continuous seconds of complete packet loss.
High Video Packet Loss

Network traffic for a call's video stream experienced 10 continuous seconds of 3% or higher loss.

Critical Video Packet LossNetwork traffic for a call's video stream experienced 10 continuous seconds of complete packet loss.

 

How quickly will I receive an email alert?

Email alerts are sent in real time for each Lifesize Icon conference room system.

 

How many email addresses can receive the alerts?

Only one email address may be used. However, you may use a group email address so that a group of people receive the alerts.

 

What email address should I use?

We recommend sending email alerts to your IT ticketing system, such as Jira, or to a dedicated email inbox. Emails can also be sent directly to a person.

 

Can I choose which alerts I receive?

No, once you enter an email address you will receive all of the event alerts.

 

Does this enable health monitoring for ALL Icons in my organization, or can I select a specific set?

Lifesize Icon Health Monitoring is for ALL Icons in your organization.

 

Will I be notified when an issue is resolved?

No, email alerts are not sent when an issue is resolved.

 

Is there a dashboard to view the status?

No, but 24/7/365 real-time alerts can be sent to a dedicated inbox and integrated with a ticketing system.

 

Which Lifesize subscription plans include Lifesize Icon Health Monitoring?

Lifesize Icon Health Monitoring is included in Lifesize Enterprise and Premium subscription plans.
