As we shared , we are in the process of adding several new capabilities to help Lifesize meeting moderators. Our goal is to make sure that moderators can control their meeting and minimize interruptions.
Our next change addresses how moderators mute participants in a meeting room. Currently, after a moderator selects mute-all in a meeting room, all participants are muted, but an individual can select to un-mute. This un-mute can be accidental or unwanted and may result in a bad meeting experience.
With our next Icon release in June and then following with the software clients, we are making a change to put the moderator in control of the mute function. When a moderator selects mute-all in a meeting room, all participants will be muted and remain muted until the moderator selects unmute-all.
We are additionally working on the ability for a moderator to selectively mute and unmute individual participants allowing for full mute control of a meeting. This capability will be added in the coming months.
