How to force an Icon to register to a specific node?

NOTE: This information should only be used for diagnostic purposes as directed by a Lifesize Support technician.

Log into web interface of the Icon using the following credentials:

Username: support

Password: support

There will be a new "Support" tab. From there you'll access the Lifesize UVC Clearsea. Please checked Cluster Discovery Override and enter the Node IP in the CSS Target Node field and Save.

To verify that the Icon is properly registered to the specific Node IP, you'll access the Lifesize UVC Clearsea under the Preferences and check the Server Address is correct.

Note:

  • You can only change the Node IP when the Icon is idle (not in a call) and it will register immediately.
  • Rebooting the Icon you will still be registered to the specific Node IP
  • List of IP Node can be found in Lifesize Server, SfB/Lync and Tunnel Gateway IP Address List
  • This information is provided for diagnostic purposes only. Forcing the Lifesize Icon to register to a specific node will compromise high-availability.
