Getting up and running with Lifesize has just gotten easier. The Lifesize Icon 3.6.0 release includes remote pairing for Lifesize Icons, proxy setup capabilities, an adjustment to the default audio output and more customization for Lifesize Phone HD.
No longer do IT admins have to physically be in the office to pair their Icons to the Lifesize cloud-based service. Now someone on-site can unbox your Lifesize Icon room system, and you can use your web browser to pair to the Lifesize cloud-based service. Get more details.
HTTP proxy support
Many organizations use proxies as a secure way of routing internet traffic. This release provides the capability to connect your Lifesize Icons through your HTTP proxy server. Through the Icon web UI, or through the remote pairing process, you can easily enter your proxy configuration settings. Learn more.
Default audio adjustment
For new Lifesize Icons with a connected Lifesize Phone HD, the default audio output for video calls will be set to Lifesize Phone HD, not the display. There is no impact to existing systems.
Additional Lifesize Phone HD customization
Lifesize Phone HD fits even better in your environment now that you can customize your home screen wallpaper, layout, buttons and the names of your times zones. Want to show off your company logo? Now you can, just upload the image. We’ve also added a new button (Keypad!) and more layouts – fill up your screen with up to eight buttons, or perhaps you’d like to match the 6-button layout of older model Lifesize phones for consistency across your offices. All of these customization features are easily configured via the admin console and can be applied to your Phone HD systems individually or all at once. You must upgrade to Icon 3.6.0 to be able to use the new customization. Learn more or check out our blog post.
