End of Life for the Legacy Desktop App

Lifesize ended support for the legacy desktop app on May 31, 2018 – meaning that no new features or enhancements would be added and any issues would not be supported. Since that date, users have been able to continue using the legacy desktop app, but with a degraded meeting experience.


October 31, 2018 is the official end of life date for the legacy desktop app. This means that calls using the legacy desktop app will be disrupted and will no longer connect to the Lifesize cloud-based service.

We strongly recommend that all customers who are still using the old desktop app make the switch prior to the end of life date.
