Uninstall OldApp command Line and MSI Install of NewApp

Customer will need to make their own script to uninstall the old application. We do not typically build scripts for customers to do something like this since the command tends to be very custom

However here is the example which can help Customer to build scripts:

Below script will helpful to fetch the version and uninstall it:

Run Shell as administrator

 

$app = Get-WmiObject -Class Win32_Product | Where-Object {$_.Version -match "10.3.502"}

$app.Uninstall()

You can download new MSI using below URL. This will help to install MSI using MSI Installer.

Prerequisite before installing MSI:

  1. Make sure there is no New Lifesize Cloud client or installer already installed. Delete it from "program and features"
  2. Delete folder "electron-settings" in the path "AppData\Roaming\Lifesize" if available.
  3. Delete folder "lifesize_app" in the path "AppData\Local" if available.

 

Once MSI pushed, logoff and Login to PC, Lifesize Cloud application shortcut will be available on Desktop, also Lifesize application will be available in Start Menu programs.

 

PS: please request them to apply the procedure to just 2 or 3 device if successful they can increase the number of device and eventually to all employees.
