Lifesize has released a new shortcut button in the Outlook add-in – making it even faster to schedule a meeting.

The latest release converts the schedule meeting button in the Lifesize Outlook add-in to a split button. The top half of the schedule meeting button with the Lifesize buddy icon is now a shortcut button to schedule a meeting using your personal extension.

When selected, a meeting invite will be created with your personal extension and call details so invitees can call you directly.

The bottom section of the schedule meeting button includes a dropdown list of actions including “Choose a place” to schedule from an existing VMR, “Create a new meeting”, and “Invite to call me directly” to schedule using your personal extension and call details.

If your account has one-time meetings enabled, the shortcut button will instead create a one-time meeting. The schedule meeting dropdown will also include an option to schedule a one-time meeting. For more information about one-time meetings, read the community post.

If you are using the new version of the Lifesize Outlook add-in, the add-in will automatically update to the latest version with the new split button. If you are not using the new version, you’ll need to install the new Outlook add-in to automatically stay up to date on the latest releases.
