Create an MSI for the Lifesize Microsoft® Outlook® Add-In to aid in large deployments
I second this. Outlook runs in a VDI for us, and using the exe means we'd have to install on six servers for each user (roughly 70 users). This means we don't use the Outlook plug-in in our production environment, save for a handful of admin users.
Todd, there are some challenges with creating the MSI for the Outlook plug-in due to the required dependencies needed for the install. With the EXE these dependencies are included.
For example, there are .NET and VSTO files that need to be on the system to complete the installation. Is that something you currently deploy on your virtual desktops?
I believe yes on both of those.
Here is an update on the Outlook plug in MSI availability:
Please make this happen a.s.a.p. There is a strong demand for the plugin from our users, in its current state the installation doesn't cater to a corporate deployment.
