This is a feature request regarding the layout options of Lifesize CLOUD.

As it is now, when you're in a conference call in CLOUD with more than two participants:

Your primary display will show ALL CLOUD parties, with LAST SPEAKER enlarged

Your secondary display will show the LOCAL CAMERA FEED.

This feature request is to move the LAST SPEAKER to the secondary display --- the idea is: we don't need to see the LOCAL CAMERA FEED.

    Original case # 00213482

Adding some commentary from the original post:

    • What you describe is known as "Split Screen Multipoint" and requires significant work on the Multipoint server side. While this is a good idea, it is not a trivial change.
    • LOCAL CAMERA FEED is not a mandatory option for the Second Display on Icons.

Connect to Icon admin WebUI, and go to Preferences/Appearance menu.

Change the value of « Physical Display Arrangement »:

    -Default

-Display 1: cameras, callers, local presentation, in-call presentation, composite callers + in call presentation (shows the same content with or without the dual display key configured, layouts available when dual streams are present).

-Display 2: mirrors display 1, unless dual stream, then shows 2nd stream.

-As the command implies, this is the default setting.

    -

    -Apart

-Display 1: cameras, callers, local presentation.

-Display 2: mirrors display 1, unless dual stream, then shows 2nd stream

    - Adjacent

-Display 1: cameras, callers, local presentation.

    -Display 2: in-call presentation only

    -

    - Adjacent (Never Blank)

-Display 1: cameras, callers, local presentation.

    -Display 2: mirror Display 1, unless there’s a unique 2nd stream to view in-call.

    -Dual

-Display 1: cameras, callers, in-call presentation, composite callers + in call presentation

    -Display 2: always local presentation

    -Mirrored

    -Display 2 = Display 1

    -Single

-Display 2 is deactivated, effectively making the system behave as a single monitor deployment.
