Because of low frame rate, hard to share a movie file over presentation stream.
How about uploading files and have it live-streamed during the call like the feature on BlueJeans.
It would be great if you could develop the functionality, nowadays a lot of clients request the possibility to share videos along the streaming session.
It would add value to the platform and of course, would allow the participants to have an even more valuable experience. I think this would make Lifesize a major key player in collaboration tools and platforms.
do we have any timeline for this? If currently considered.
I got several customers (Universities, training courses providers, general educational use cases) asking for the same functionality/implementation.
It would help us to close specific deals and ensure current customer's satisfaction.
Thanks for your feedback
We will be making a series of enhancements that will raise the frame rate of the content stream to a consistent level independent of the device sharing the content and the number of sites on the call.
Thanks Andrea, this is one of main improvements required from our Marketing & Media & Educational sector customers in Iberia.
It's not just video but even sharing Presentations can be slow and choppy compared to say 'Webex' or other services. We would love Lifesize to be our one stop shop via a web client for collaboration but the choppy frame rate for presentations (and yes, video has been requested many times internally here over the link) is really a detriment. Having people collaborate via video is great, not being able to share dynamic presentations (let alone video) using a web client is a real drawback. Web client need is based on allowing others from the outside to join who do not or will not install the full software client.
