Having a wireless camera will provide much more flexibility to set up the camera around the room without creating a tripping hazard.
have you seen such a solution on the market already?
I am just wondering how you cope with the power/battery challenge for long calls, with people forgetting to replace it on its stand to recharge between calls, and with the very high data throughput required for raw video transmission, over a wireless protocol.
We have actually used Wireless cameras with good success. Battery life wasn't a huge issue, we did several calls over 1 hour (the longest was 1.6 hours we tracked) so while you need to take it into consideration, we used it in a "town hall" scenario where we needed a camera that could be moved form place to place on a tripod. Connection was using a dedicated wireless feed from the camera to a receiver, which was plugged into the icon 800 as a second feed.
