Currently the outlook plug-in is only supported for Office 2013 and Office 2010.
We would also like to be able to install the plug-in on Office 365.
I think this is important as many customers are moving to cloud based solutions including subscription based software like Office 365
I also would like the ability to arrange LS Cloud meeting through MSO. On the other hand, O365 includes Skype4B, why does one should need LS Could and pay for it additionally?
Good point Rytis, what I don't get is that you can use S4B when connecting to a codec, but not if you are trying to use a client on a mobile device or computer, hope they fix this soon as well.
We have just added users to Office 365, so this feature would be very useful
This thread is coming up on a year now and no resolution?
Ray, unfortunately, we do not have this resolved as of yet. That being said, the development team is currently working on plans on how to best add the capability. We will update here once we move it into development and provide guidance on the target date.
I think maybe this "Idea" needs a little further clarification, as the title is somewhat misleading. The Lifesize plugin works with installable versions of Microsoft Outlook (2010, 2013 & 2016) for windows desktops, this includes when working with Office 365 and other back-end email/calendaring services.
Today Lifesize does not have a plugin or extension to support the browser-based "Outlook on the web" that's available as part of Office 365. Is this the functionality that people in the thread are requesting?
Hello Matt - I have tried to install Lifesize Cloud Outlook Add-in and it failed to install for my version of Office 365 desktop client (2016 version). Per the logs, the application did not detect my outlook/office client and did not continue. Could you please clarify how you were able to install and get the plugin to work with Office 365 (2016 versions) of Outlook?
Hi, I'd recommend raising a case with the Lifesize support team to investigate further. You can do this by visiting the following page and filling out a few simple questions (please note adding details of your Windows machine specification, OS version and MS Outlook client build version etc will be helpful) or alternatively call one of the numbers shown at the bottom of the page.
Contact the Lifesize Customer Support Team
We don't need to contact Lifesize Suport to tell them what they already know.
Outlook plug-in is only supported for Office 2013 and Office 2010 despite of what Lifesize would like to see.
So please ask your R&D team to develop a correct installing Outlook plugin.
Microsoft Outlook 2016 is one of the supported client versions stated on our Lifesize Datasheet. So if you're having challenges making this work, raising a case via Lifesize Support for investigation is the only way to formally track and then debug the issue you're personally facing. If indeed there's an issue discovered with the client correctly installing or working, this will be passed to our Engineering (R&D) team to resolve once we have all of the diagnostic information required to fully understand and resolve the issue being observed. With this in mind, I'd urge you to work with our support team towards finding a resolution to your issue.
Respecting your prompt reply.
