Submitting feature request on behalf of customer to have ability to register 3rd party endpoints to Cloud via H.323 or SIP.
Totally agree, its a show stopper for us in many cases here
Have you ever tested it? It works, but is not officially supported.
How do you get a LSCloud pairing code with a 3rd party system?
You have to create an user account and register the third party system with the assigned extension (not e-mail address!) and password.
3rd party systems are not able to pair with Cloud. They can participate effectively as guests with H.323 or SIP dial strings, but at this time we do not support pairing to the service (registration, extension dialing, etc) for third party devices.
As long as it somehow works ... that is good. That it doesn't fully integrate is fully understandable. For that they should buy indeed a Lifesize system. Plus we should keep arguments for switching to Lifesize systems.

Development has started on this feature request.
Thanks for all the feedback!
Updating status here back to Researching. The development team will need some more time to develop a supportable approach before resuming development. Will post more when we have an update to share.
Development in progress.
Hope this feature comes out soon! It will be a game changer.
This is now available for the last two generations of Polycom and Cisco endpoints.
