I've seen an issue has been resolved in the latest Icon software, but as our customer isn't on Cloud, where can they download this from?
Icon software can be obtained from software.lifesize.com by entering the system serial number. Please note that some releases are Lifesize Cloud specific and will not be posted on this site.
The issue that's been corrected is nothing to do with Lifesize Cloud, and neither are other issues that have been addressed, and I could get previous versions from http://cdn.lifesizecloud.com/hotfix/LS_RM3_<version>.img
Can someone please make this available for non-cloud customers?
As you have seen, the latest release was a 'cloud-only' release, Pete. There is no separate Icon build. We are working on another release which should be release for both cloud and on-premise, but I do not have a definitive time frame for delivery. -- at this time, it looks like August.
Cloud will be released first, in this case, also, with the on-prem build releasing about a week later.
The sooner the better please as we've been waiting a very long time for this particular issue to be fixed, and have had to loan out 2nd gen phones in the meantime!
Thing is, we can connect any Icon to the Cloud to upgrade to 3.3.0 or whatever the latest version is, then reset it and it will keep the Cloud software and runs without issue. We do this as we have test systems that are always being registered/unregistered for various reasons.
Any update on this release please?
Checking, Pete. I'll see what I can find out.
It looks like we are targeting the first full week of September for the release... I'll keep you posted.
Version 3.4.0 was just released to cloud. The Icon version for those not on cloud should be out next week. We usually trail the cloud release by one week. So, look for it on the 6th or 7th?
The build should be available now, Pete: Release Notes – Lifesize Icon Series
We would do this, but unfortunately the customer's network is locked down so it's not possible. We all know this would work so I don't see why we can't just download the software ourselves; it's addressing problems with the codec and touch phone so it shouldn't be ONLY for Cloud systems.
Thanks, we'll get this sent out to our customer and they can finally send our 2nd gen phone back!
