I need to understand the difference beetween two install config.
1- transit server without transit client
2- transit server with transit client.
Wich function do i have more with client ?
Transit Server enables firewall/NAT traversal with 2 methods:
- H.460: this is a standard, for H.323 communications
- TunnelSIP: this is LifeSize proprietary, for SIP communications
So as long as you have either H.460 compatible endpoints (all LS endpoints are, but also this is supported by other 3rd party devices), or LS endpoints with TunnelSIP, you can live with Transit Server only.
However if you want to have H.323 communications with devices that do not support H.460 (legacy 3rd party devices, or most MCUs..), or SIP communications with non-LS devices, then you need to add a Transit Client to the internal LAN.
