I offered LS Cloud last week and said to customer, that LS is the only one provider of cloud videoconferencing. But customer said, that Cisco has the VC cloud also. And much cheaper. Does anyone have any information abou this item? Thanks. Martin
Martin, there are multiple video conferencing cloud services on the market (Lifesize Cloud, Bluejeans, Zoom, Starleaf, Cisco, to name a few.) Each has its unique strengths and weaknesses. I can't react to specifics on Cisco's pricing conceptually since it really depends on what you are comparing. Where Lifesize Cloud stands out is that we provide a complete solution from connected endpoints, to PC/Mac/Ios/Android with shared directories, automatic call escalation to expand calls on demand, browser based guest calling, virtual meeting rooms, and more in a package that is very easy to manage and use. Cloud delivers an HD video experience for entire organizations down to workgroups at competitive prices which we believe, when coupled with our Lifesize Icon systems, is an unmatched value proposition.
Michael, I would appreciate a specific competitive piece on the Cisco Webex Telepresence Cloud solution. See http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/conferencing/webex-telepresence/cisco_webextelp_ovw.pdf
The Cisco brochure claims (1) multiple endpoint options, (2) monthly subscriptions, (3) auto population of directories, (4) simple dialing of an address rather than a string of numbers, (5) Apple watch option
Weaknesses appear to be: (1) Separate Bridge option required for users from other networks, (2) Only 9 people in the call,
Unclear/Potential Weaknesses: (1) Options for integration with on premise equipment for larger rooms, (2) Guest option?, (3) Call escalation, (4) virtual meeting rooms, (5) Scheduled Meetings
I am sure that I am not the only one facing this competitor and I am keen to get my facts straight when speaking to the prospects
