I am trying to enhance Icon600 camera environment. I am wondering that Icon600 could be used with sony EVI cameras like lifesize legacy series.
You may use a visca supported Sony camera with the Icon 800. We do not have technical documentation.
Here are comments from our SQA group on setup.
In the Icon 800 Admin menu under Preferences/USB, select USB 1 or USB 2 (Note: USB 1corresponds to the “outside” USB port, and USB 2 corresponds to the “inside/middle” USB port).
Specify which input your will use for the Sony Camera (DVI 1 - 4) and select advanced to set the Speed and Flow Control.
You can find your baud rate in Sony documentation (i.e. dip switch settings for 9600 or 38400 BAUD).
Ohshita san, thank you for posting your questions here! I suggest you re-post your questions in Community Places called ASK VIDEO SYSTEMS (ENDPOINTS) AND ACCESSORIES INFORMATION so that your questions can be read and supported by more experts from around the world.
I've moved this to get it in front of more people and get you an answer more quickly.
Thank you for your answer.
I understood how I set up sony cameras for Icon800.
And It seems that Icon600 cannot be used with sony cameras.
You have the same set up capability under the USB tab in Preferences too. You can select HDMI or DVI as your input. Just one thing to bear in mind if you connect a second camera to the DVI input along with the Lifesize camera in the HDMI input, you will lose your ability to share presentation. We hare working on a behavior change here where the second camera can be selected as primary and you can still send the presentation as a source.
I can find the same menu on Icon600 web. And good to hear that source select improvement is progressing.
Thank you for providing, now I am clear.
