How to call LifeSize Icon400 and Icon600 in FULL HD resolution during video call.
Can you tell me me what resolution you are receiving when calling the Icons? You can find the information in your call stats, via the admin console.
Also, the resolution is automatically negotiated based on the bandwidth available. So, you may be seeing a lower resolution due to bandwidth constraints.
If you feel bandwidth is not the issue, I would suggest opening a ticket with our support reps for detailed troubleshooting.
Thanks and I hope this helps.
Our Icon400 also encountered the same problem.
We have been unable to send 1080 from Icon400.
preferences default call bandwidth: 1728kb / s; HD Display Resolution: 1920 * 1080/30
I also need to be set can transfer 1080?
Ivan and Jimmy, I had a case dealing with this. The Icon 400 max resolution is 1920 X 1080 P 30. The issue is that this can only done if both television support 1080 P 30. When you log into the Icon 400's web UI, the DVI Display Resolution must support 1920 X 1080 P 30. Older televisions and computer monitors may not support 1920 X 1080 P 30 so if the display does not support 1920 X 1080 P 30, the call drops back down to 720 P 60.
If you log into both the Icon 400 and Icon 600 and can verify both units have the option for 1920 X 1080 P 30 then the call can connect at 1920 X 1080 P 30 as long as the Default Call Bandwidth is over 1500 KB/S.
