Is it necessary to open port 389 for LDAP in UVC Clerasea?
My customer is using secured LDAP port 636 now and they would like to close port 389.
Any effect if port 389 is closed? Please advice.
Adeline, you do not need port 389 if you have enabled SSL and are now using 636 instead.
Hi Joe Peary,
Thanks for your reply.
May i know how to close the port (389) on UVC Clearsea Server (running on Ubuntu)? Is there any way to close it?
Customer is running the server on VMware.
Appreciate if you can advise for the above? As my customer is hoping to close the ports from UVC Clearsea server. Possible?
Adeline, there is no firewall in UVC. You need to close this port on your network firewall.
Thanks for reply.
OK, i was telling the same to customer but he insisted he wants to close it from UVC Clearsea.
