Q: Should it work using the older Camera 200 with an Icon 800? Could it become a issue at some point with upgrades or such?
Jonas, I tested a Camera 200 with our Icon 800 in the lab and the camera worked fine. Pan, Tilt and Zoom all worked with no issues with Icon 800 running software version LS_RM 3.1.2. The only issue you may run into is we also have Camera 200 F which only has the fire-wire connection. The Icon 800 does not have a fire-wire port so the Camera 200 will have to have a HDMI input to work with the Icon 800. You may need to purchase a camera power supply if you were using the fire-wire cable to send power to the camera previously.
Although not officially supported an HDMI version camera 200 may work for video however pan, tilt and zoom functionality would be questionable. Please report back your findings if you give it a try, thanks.
