Is Aethra Vega X5 supported by Cloud? We made some test with this system and it didn´t show remote video from Cloud despite statitics showed that it was receiving video frames.
Lifesize does not officially test with Aethra products as they exited the videoconferencing market over 7 years ago and do not provide software updates. Is the Aethra configured with a private IP address? If so something (Aethra, firewall or traversal server) will need to provide network address translation from private to public or the result will be no received video (the publically addressed device will attempt to send video to the private address of the endpoint which will not route over the internet)
We made tests calling to a express 220 not paired to Cloud and everything was fine.
If the Express was on the same network as the Aethra please see the NAT (network address translation) comments above (NAT is not needed for systems on the same network). Registering the Express to Cloud puts it on the public internet and that registration provides NAT. For a privately addressed Aethra to call any H.323 or SIP system on the public internet something will need to perform NAT.
Both systems have public IPs
