How can a user who owns a virtual meeting room connect to that meeting hosted in his office, if he is out of the office?
His office has people meeting in it with non-icon equipment while he is outside the office. Both use his account.
I don't think I was clear. This is helpful, but not exactly what I was asking.
The user who is out of the office that contains the non-Icon equipment is the owner of the virtual meeting room. We were trying to avoid him logging into the meeting as a guest.
Our workaround was to have his office computer that hosted the virtual meeting room log on as guest and he logged in using his account. It would be nice if virtual meeting rooms had the capability of logging on as itself and not as the owner.
Your users can connect to the meeting room via the Lifesize Cloud application if they do not have access to a Cloud-paired device on the account. We have the application available through the webapp in a chrome or IE 11 browser here: https://webapp.lifesizecloud.com/
The Lifesize downloadable application is available here: https://call.lifesizecloud.com/downloads
You will be prompted to log in. Once you log in, you can generate a meeting invitation to send to your users to click on and join as a guest if they do not have a Lifesize log-in for your account.
I hope this helps!

Not a problem Charlie. I think I understand but please correct me if I'm misunderstanding.
It sounds like the Icon is paired to the user account. If so, you can pair the Icon as a conference room so it is not tied to the user account so that the user can join from his application without tying up the same extension as the user extension and join the meeting room from the user account.
The owner of the VMR does not have to be in the meeting for the meeting to take place.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you need any further clarification.
