What is the best way to run a ICON script? For example the script to add Favorites.
The Favorites script was written as a bash script so you can run it in any Linux environment. If you are on a Mac you can run it using Terminal. From Windows you will need to use something like Cygwin to access a Bash Shell. There are instructions in this post on installing Cygwin.
To execute the script download it to you computer and launch you Bash shell. Navigate to the directory of where you saved the script. Type ./ followed by the script name. Example below.
Hope this gets you started.
Have you tried Expect? Expect - Wikipedia
I've used it successfully on Cisco command lines, should be fine for any command line scripting.
Hope this helps.
