Can a two lifesize on a separate sites/branches be able to call through leased line? that way we can use and call each conference rooms without sacrificing our dedicated internet?
With the recent introduction of direct media the majority of the bandwidth for a point to point call will stay on the private network (signalling will go out to the internet to see if direct media is possible). The required firewall ports are in the link below. Please note that when a third location is added a bridge will be needed and the calls will need to go out to the internet to access one.

Thanks guys. so if I have 2 sites calling each through leased line, and a cloud/guest user wanted to join, that means the 2 sites utilizing the leased line would end up using the internet? or just the device(that initiated the conference call) that the cloud user is calling to would open a bridge to the internet in order for cloud user would be able to call?
Yes, once a third participant is added the traffic for all three sites would go out to the internet as that is where the bridge is located.
Hmmm, that's Interesting. It could have been better if only one of the phones were to utilize the internet to receive a call from a guest participant, while still be able to maintain it's call to the other phone via leased line. Anyway, Thank you, that's very informative!
Is there a timeline for Direct Media for ICONs?
Direct media for Icons is available today for customer accounts that have been migrated to the new Lifesize cloud infrastructure.
Is there an indicator for which Cloud we are on?
The easiest way to check is to have a single device call into a virtual meeting room (VMR). If you see a slide that states you are the only participant in the meeting room then it is the new infrastructure, if you see yourself then it is the old. For direct media to function port TCP/UDP 3478 needs to be allowed so the systems can check to see if a direct path is available.
